them how to hunt and fish. We’d walk down to the creek—me, two dogs, three cats and two raccoons. It was a sight! At first, the raccoons stayed right at my heels but as they got braver, they’d venture further away...We’d go every night. They learned to climb trees on those walks. It was great fun.”
It was after her wards —now protected by vaccinations against rabies—had made this partial adjustment to the wilds that the picture was taken of Asta and Ricky exchanging a sniff or two. And again, it was Carol Miller who stepped in, this time to make Ricky and his canine friend mini-celebrities in the calendar world.
Achievement Night
The annual Achievement Night for all county Homemakers Clubs will - be held Monday, November 9, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sperryville fire hall. The public is invited.
