Charles K. Estes, running unopposed, drew 299 votes for supervisor from Piedmont District to fill the unexpired term of former board chairman E.P. Luke. One write-in ballot was cast for Cecil Baldwin and one for Ronald Wiley in that race.
As of press time on Wednesday, there were no tabulations available in the election for county soil and water conservation district directors. Rappahannock elects two individuals and the ballots listed only two names for the posts: Herbert S. Barksdale and W. Clifford Latham.
