A new trophy has been added to the display case at Rappahannock County High School. Rappahannock’s cross country team brought home lw wmi^Acc w«4 troi% the Skyline District meet held at Stonewall Jackson last week.
With his second place individual finish, Scott Keithly led the RCHS contingent which included Larry Sisk, Ronnie Atkins, Mike Tomko, Craig Kenyon, Ricky Shaw and Earl Jewell.
Final tally was Stonewall 27, Rappahannock 49, Strasburg 57 and Luray 85. (In cross country, low score wins.) RCHS runners will compete next in regionals on November 4 and in the state meet on November 14.
Rappahannock's cross country team performed well. all season, defeating a number of schools, including Warren County which hadn't lost to RCHS in four years, reported cross country coach Ann Spieker.
Keithly has been Rappahannock's top runner, breaking the record for the school course in the first meet of the season and then bettering his own mark with a 15:14 showing against
