$95 Million Nationally
McHenry told the EMS Council that about $95 million will be given nationally in block grants but the amount each state will receive is not yet known.
“We don't know what the state will do. There were no funds for EMS in Governor Dalton’s proposed 1982-84 budget,” she said. "After receiving personal letters of support for EMS, the Governor reinstated the Virginia Rescue Squad Assistance Fund of one million dollars.”
