his medical degree from Georgetown University in D. C. in 1971. His internship and residency were served in North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill and he was appointed instructor in heart and chest surgery in 1978.
Last week Dr. Frantz was inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, the American College of Chest Surgeons , and the author of many surgical publications.
