to verify cash resources such as savings accounts checking accounts, life insurance policies and other specific resources.
Limits for cash resources are:
—$1,500 for households with no members who are aged 60 or disabled.
—$3,000 for households that include a person over 60 or disabled. Households may have real property not counting the home and lot, with equity of up to $5,000.
Only one application will be needed for the program this year under most circumstances. Once a household is determined eligible, it is provided with a notice that shows the maximum fuel assistance it can receive.
The fuel program will end March 31, 1981, or earlier, if all funds are exhausted.
