Robert E. Moore, 38, has been named assistant resident engineer for the Warrenton residency of the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation.

Moore, a native of Flint Hill, was construction project engineer for the department’s Leesburg residency. He succeeds Donald B. Gore, now assistant resident engineer at Culpeper.

Moore is a 1961 graduate of Rappahannock High School and has completed courses in highway engineering with the International Correspondence School.
