Dear Editor: I was so taken by the feature story on Rock Bottom Appaloosas, Virginia Politics and the paper bag apple pie recipe, (a paper sent by a relative) that I decided to check up on Rappahannock News during the next year. In that instance, the court ruled that the school did not constitute a church or rectory and therefore could not avoid the regulatory provisions of the local zoning ordinance.
The zoning ordinance applicable to the Texas case defines church as the place of worship and religious training of a recognized religion including the on-site housing of ministers, priests, rabbis, nuns and similar staff personnel.
