Funeral services for Lyle Hayward Hitt, 76, of Culpeper, were conducted Saturday at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. John Farrar and Rev. Edward Hawkins. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Hitt died Thursday, February 4, 1982, in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. He was a retired creamery worker and a member of Culpeper Baptist Church.
A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of Wade Hunton and Annie Cloud Hitt.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virgie Weakley Hitt of Culpeper; a son, L. Thomas Hitt of Aroda; one daughter,
Mrs. Edna May Poe of Fairfax; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a brother, Garland Hitt of Phoenix. Ariz.
