hriday nignt, woz, as a vjfoot jumper from Robert Myers dropped through the net with a second left on the clock.

The 5-foot, 6-inch guard took the inbounds pass with four seconds left and Rappahannock down by one on a play that coach Edmondson intended to go to Carl Frye underneath. Myers was to set a screen for the six-foot, 2-inch forward who had scored 11 points in the contest—his First of the season after sitting out due to academic problems—all from close range.

But the Generals were staked out underneath the basket, double teaming Frye and Mike Leake, high scorer of the night for the Panthers with 16. Myers was open and after taking one dribble and a long stare at the basket, he released a high, arching jumper that dropped cleanly through the hoop, barely stirring the net.
