A truckload of lawn ornaments stolen from the
kway Gift Shop in
rryville was recovered by the Culpeper County Sheriffs department from the Rapidan River just off Route 522 in Orange County.
Working with the Culpeper unit was retired U.S. Navy diver Jim Holt who is a deputy for the Sheriffs department there. Holt dove into the freezing water to retrieve the ornaments from the river, and also made a second underwater excursion in a Reva farm pond to find the remaining stolen goods.
