Kenneth Robinson mailed

a questionnaire to the 7th Congressional District households, asking for citizen views on matters likely to come up for action in the 95th Congress. Budget, tax, foreign policy, health insurance, and Social Security questions were among those included in the questionnaire.

In a statement, Robinson noted: “Any questionnaire of reasonable length obviously cannot cover all of the issues with which Congress has been dealing, but I have included matters on which it would be particularly helpful to me to have a current indication of 7th District opinion.”

The Farmer’s Home Administration began a program which guaranteed rural housing loans made by commercial banks, savings and loan associations, and other private lenders, announced M.L. Trew, Supervisor for Culpeper, Madison, Orange, Rappahannock, and ' Fauquier Counties. Loans were to buy, build, improve, repair or rehabilitate house and related facilities, and to provide adequate water and waste disposal systems.
