“My boys perked up in the second half and won the game for me,” Ya*d coach Valerie Gehring^r after the Rappahannock JV Panthers won a thriller at home by defeating the Clarke County Eagles 43-41, Tuesday night.
In the opening quarter both teams countered the other’s attack and the scoreboard showed only 8-6 in favor of Rappahannock going into the second quarter. Poor shooting on the Panther’s part enabled the Eagles to build a 22-15 lead at the half.
