Installed
New officers were installed at the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department’s meeting held recently at the fire hall. Officers for 1983 are Lewin Williams, president; Hubert Gilkey, first vice president; Stevie Williams, second vice president; Thomas Leake, secretary; Gary Williams, treasurer and Bradley Williams, assistant treasurer.
Also elected were Billy Wines, first lieutenant; Michael Ray Williams, captain; Haywood Williams, second lieutenant; Bruce Williams, Chief; Stevie North, assistant chief and Bert Gilkey, captain of Rescue Squad.
Directors are Earl Williams and Charles Frazier.
Chester Gap carnival dates for 1983 have been scheduled for July 20-23.

Graduates
Todd Brown, deputy with the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Department, recently graduated from the Central Shena pd o a h Criminal Justice Training Center.
In the eight week course, the deputy studied general police work. including criminal law, marksmanship and defensive driving.
