To the editor:
On behalf of the Fauquier Chapter of the American Red Cross, I extend my thanks and appreciation to the citizens of Fauquier and Rappahannock counties for their generous support of the chapter’s activities durine 1982.
They contributed more blood, more than 1,000 units, and more money, nearly $17,000.00, than in many years. While the demands on the chapter’s resources exceeded both in blood and in money whqt it could
supply, we undt^stand that the people of the two counties
did the best they\ould. We are grateful. Thej»wk of the Fauquier Chapter, as is true of the Red Cross generally, is conducted mainly by volunteers, who give of their own time and money in astonishing amounts. They are encouraged and sustained in their efforts by such staunch support as rendered by the community in this past year.
