Retired Railroad Worker
Robert Eugene Craft Sr., 67, of Castleton died on Monday, January 3, 1983, at a hospital in Birmingham, Ala.
A native of Bristol, Tenn., he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Monroe Craft. He was a retired railroad brakeman and conductor. Mr. Craft was a former member of the Castleton Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Squad and a member of the Firemen’s Association. His wife was the late Emma Nora Garten Craft.
Survivors include ten sons, Robert E. Craft Jr. of Severn, Md., William O. Craft of Castleton, Clyde S. Craft of Winchester, Richard A. Craft of Falls Church, Russell L. Craft of Madison, Francis T. Craft of Manassas, Gordon T. Craft and Ralph E. Craft, both of Greensboro, N. C., Ronald J. Craft of Verona and Kenneth H. Craft of Guam Air Force Base, Guam; two daughters, Miss Frances A. Craft of Radford and Mrs. Betty C. Buddington of Lorton and 43 grandchildren.
Also surviving are two stepsons, John R. Keys of Leon and Luther O. Keys of Fredericksburg; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Emma J. Brindley of Manassas and Mrs. Paula K. Buddington of McLeansville, N. C. and one brother.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday at the Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
