EDWARD F. Clatterbuck
of Arlington, Va. killed
an albino deer in Gid
Brown Hollow. As far as is known this deer was the first of its kind killed in the county.
J.W. Critzer of Washington, Va., resigned as sheriff of Rappahannock County, an office which held for eleven and a ’ half years. Mr. Critzer was appointed by judge J.R.H. Alexander on May 18, 1950, to fill the unexpired term of James Lillard, ending Dec. 31, 1951. He duly qualified before the Clerk of the Court, James M. Settle, and took the oath of office the same day. Thereafter, he was re-elected 3 times before resigning.
The Mosby Rangers defeated the Rappahannock Panthers when the teams met on the Mosley Court. The final score was 40-30. The Panthers were well-paced until the game’s closing moments. Deal was high man for the Panthers.
