Jail Money .
Several of the bills will be Guest’s. He re-affirmed on Monday that he will seek to have reimbursement for Rappahannock’s jail renovation, as allowed by state law, restored to the budget. On behalf of Warren County, Guest will push for authorization for variances to subdivision ordinances. (Currently, variances are only allowed to zoning ordinances.) At the request of Clarke County, he will introduce legislation requiring the State Department of Taxation to take land use value into account in developing its composite index.
