Work experience is designed to help someone train for a job. Under this component, ADC recipients are placed for six-month terms with public and private non-profit businesses and agencies as office helpers, receptionists, custodians, cafeteria workers and the like. The amount of hours that the welfare clients must sperithon the job is determined by dividing the current minimum wage into the amount of their ADC grant. “They’ll be working for the money they receive," Wilkins pdtnled out.
