The wedding of Brenda Ann Tharp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Edward Tharp of Castleton, to John Adams Lee, Jr., son of Bernice Lee Woodward of Washington and the late John Adams Lee took place at 2 o’clock on Saturday, January 15, 1983, at the Black Oak Baptist Church near Culpeper.
Elder Wayne Richards performed the double ring ceremony. The church was decorated with baskets of yellow roses and white carnations. Mrs. Krista Pritt provided the wedding music. Bobby and Kay Boutchyard of Rhodesville sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “You Light Up My Life”.
