The Ladies Auxiliary of Chester Gap’s Volunteer Fire Department will hold a bake sale February 12 at Williams Grocery. The sale will start at 9 a.m. Proceeds will go to the fire department.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bruce of Westminster, Md. were recent guests of Mrs. Chloe Brown.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe N. Beard of Alexandria were Saturday dinner guests of Mrs. Vallie Butler. Joining them in the afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. George C. Hawkins of Sperryville, Mrs. Rodney Vest and Patsy Vest.

Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wayland were Friday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Williams in Culpeper.

The Woodville Homemakers Club met at the church on Tuesday night with nine members and one visitor present. Wilson Burke gave an interesting presentation on “When Is An Item An Antique?”
