William Howard (Bolly) McDonald, 72, of Front Royal, died Thursday, February 3, 1983, at Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by Howard Nussbaum and Gary Myers. Burial was in Panorama Memorial Gardens at Waterlick.

Mr. McDonald was bom in Warren County on October 4, 1910, son of the late Charles Scott and Mary Elizabeth Estep McDonald.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Baker McDonald; two sons, Raymond McDonald of Front Royal and Roger McDonald of Hedgesville, W. Va.; two daughters,Patricia Giles of Washington and Carolyn McDonald at home; one brother, Irvin McDonald of Front Royal; a sister, Mattie Fogle of Front Royal and six grandchildren.

John Roberts

Born In Rappahannock

The Rev. John Thomas Roberts, 57, of Boyce, died Friday, February 4, 1983, in Winchester Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at the Guildfield Baptist Church, Millwood by the Rev. Isham Williams. Burial was in the Community Cemetery, White Post.

The Rev. Roberts was born on May 15, 1925, in Rappahannock County, son of the late James and Elizabeth Davenport Roberts. He was a retired antique finisher and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Guildfield Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Rebecca Roberts; a son, Terry Roberts of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three stepchildren, Desiree Turner at home, Lillian Turner of Richmond and George Turner of Fort Myers, Fla. and two grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers, Walter Roberts of New York, James Roberts and Russell Roberts of Winchester and Robert Roberts of Santa Barbara, Calif.; a half-brother, Walter Peyton of Waco, Texas and four sisters, Lucy Christian of Stephens City, Mabel Williams and Ruth Washington, both of Winchester and Lorraine Wedlock of White Post.
