Rappahannock’s Junior Varsity Panthers annihilated George Mason in their last game of the old year, giving the RCHS five their second win overall and first win in district competition for the season.
Still charged up by their tremendous victory over “AA” Madison, whose smallest starter was taller than Rappahannock’s tallest, the JV walked over George Mason, 42-23.
Mason kept it close early, even taking the lead away after Rapp’s careless mistakes and missed layups. The score was tied at the end of the first quarter, eight all, but the Mustangs were never close from that point on.
