Two Rappahannock students did well in the annual cosmetology contest at Piedmont Technical Education Center. Melissa Dennis took first place in the finger waving competition and second place in hair styling. Christal Vest won the'third place trophy in hair styling.
The skill contest is sponsored each year to recognize the achievement of individual students. Local beauticians judge the students as they work within time limits to create the loveliest hair designs.
