Mrs. Bessie Thornton Renner, 87, of Winchester died Sunday, January 8, 1984, in a Stephens City nursing home.
Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday at the Mount Hebron Cemetery in Winchester by Dr. Robert F. Woodward.
Mrs. Renner was born August 28, 1896, at Flint Hill, daughter of the late William Judson and Julia Electrice Partlow Thornton. She was married to the late Maynard H. Renner. Prior to her retirement, she had taught in Frederick County schools for 42 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winchester.
Surviving are two sisters, Lela Electrice Thornton and Eva Jane Thornton, both of Winchester.
Jones Funeral Home in Winchester was in charge of the arrangements.
