A recently released nationwide study by the Virginih Education Association (VEA) shows the state near the bottom of the list in current per pupil expenditures for public schools. Virginia ranked 30 among 50 states and the District of Columbia. The commonwealth clitrtfcbd two notches from 32 during the 1981-82 school year.
