To the editor:
I read the column in your December 1, 1983, issue, "Hunting Season Brings Anarchy,” by Mr. George Bowles. I wrote to Governor Charles S. Robb and Congressman J. Kenneth Robi*r son, and contacted Delegate “Andy" Guest, regarding the law violations of Frank F. Everset, Jr., and Frank Sutton III.
Enclosed herewith are copies of the replies received from Governor Robb’s office and a letter from R.H. Cross, Jr., transmitted to me by Delegate Guest’s office.
Please pass these copies on to Mr. George Bowles with my thanks that he exposed these law violators to public view.
I had some disheartening dealings with R.H. Cross, Jr., and Jack Rayburn of the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries regarding the so-called “controlled” deer hunts at the National Zoo’s Conservation Center near Front Royal on April 8, 1982. They told me that they could poison the deer on that property!
I appreciate your printing Mr. Bowles’ column.
