Mason L. Hitt, Sr., 75, of Amissville, died Thursday, January 5, 1984, at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday at the Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton by the Rev. Joseph Stirman and the Rev. Steve Parker. Burial was in the family cemetery at Amissville.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Omega J. Hitt; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Brown of Rockville, Mrs. Irma Holmes and Mrs. Marion Woodward, both of Amissville; three sons, Mason L. Hitt, Jr. of Warrenton, John Hitt and Martin Hitt, both of Amissville; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Holmes of Amissville; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
