Argiro said the delay was because the lab will not work on green material for health reasons.
Argiro served a warrant qn Haase on December 16. He described Haase as cooperative and pleasant, but reluctant to answer any questions. “A lot of people use my wood shavings,” Haase was quoted as saying regarding the mulching. Haase has a woodworking shop on his property.
Argiro told Haase’s lawyer, David Konick, that the day the trooper served the warrant on Haase was the first time he had ever seen him.
Konick argued that officers had presented no evidence that Haase had lived at the same location on August 30. When the plants were taken, the house was locked and no one was there.
