mended: (1) issuance of numbered receipts to all persons remitting money to the school administrative offices (2) taking precautions to ensure against payments of utility and sales taxes on school expenditures, (3) providing complete documentation to support requests for reimbursement for instructional supplies and other costs from RCHS, (4) noting personal long distance calls on telephone bills.
It was also suggested that library records include the following: (1) date and value of all securities donated to the library, (2) petty cash vouchers attached to copies of reimbursement checks, (3) reimbursement of personal long distance telephone calls, (4) discontinuance of payment of utility tax on telephone and electric bills, (5) withholding of federal and state taxes from employees’ payroll (6) separate time sheets for each employee showing hours worked in a pay period and (7) preunumbered library checks.
The supervisors agreed to send copies of the recommendations to both the library and the School Board.
“Very Dangerous
Situation”
In a letter dated January 27, zoning administrator David Konick warned of a “very dangerous situation that exists around the courthouse building and county offices whenever it snows.” He noted that sidewalks are now cleared on a volunteer basis by some of the constitutional officers and sometimes by criminal defendants sentenced to perform community service.
On January 24, Konick reported, the secretary for the zoning office slipped and fell on an icy sidewalk, suffering a black eye and severe lacerations of the head that required six stitches. “As far as I know, Mrs. .Cartwright-Brown has qo 'mnition of filing silt against the county but ‘I really do feel that some effort should be made to compensate her for her medical expenses.” The main point, Konick stressed, is that the county needs to make arrangements for maintenance
