Rappahannock-Rapidan Prevention Associates intends to apply for federal funds from the Urban Mass Transportation Administration under section 16 (b) (2) of the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as amended, to purchase one wheelchair adapted van and three 12passenger vans. The intended use of these vehicles will be to provide transportation services to the elderly and handicapped of Planning Distnct 9 encompassing the counties of Orange, Rappatonnock, Fauquier, Madison and Culpeper The wheelchair equipped vewcle will provide both Dial-a-Ride" and fixed route services while the regbf^r vans provide fixed route runs. AlNvill serve primanly to transport individuals to and from prevocational, vocational, medical and socialization activities.
