She should have a big bouquet of roses, that lovely lady of Rock Mills, for every time a neighbor called us or stopped us on the street to tell us about her birthday. But we promised her we would not elaborate on her festivities in the social news. Still we join in wishing her many happy returns and must note this outpouring affection.
Weekender Paul Henze has been doing the radio/television talk-show circuit to promote his new book called “The Plot to Kill the t’ope.” It was published in London in November and in New York (Scribners) in December and seems to be selling well.
Nancy Schoppet wanted us to mention that there will be a Boosters Club spring talent show, so get your act together. She says the kids have been calling her at all hours of the day and night to ask. By this indication of interest, she expects a “really big show” — and maybe some talented parents and teachers, too, she hopes.
