Frazier Reunion

The Robert Frazier family reunion will be held at the Rappahannock Park near Washington on Saturday, June 9 beginning at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to come and bring a picnic lunch.

Equestrian Arts Program

Dutch-Dublin Stable, a part of the New World Puppets, Inc. will be holding a Summer Equestrian Arts Program for riders interested in improving their horsemanship skills. Registration is now open for this nine week program. The program will begin on Monday, June 18th.

The program includes: riding, stable management and horse science skills, equipment care, and showing. Two fieldtrips are plumed during the summer and several shows will be included in the activities. This program is open to all ages with basic riding skills. A limited number of riders who take part in this program will be able to bring their own horse.

Housing Development Conference

A Housing Information Exchange, sponsored by the Virginia Housing Development Authority, will be held Thursday, June 7 from 10 until 12 noon at the Springfield Hilton in Springfield. Mrs. Rose E. Berler, member of VHDA’s Board of Commissioners and former chairperson of the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority, will moderate the two-hour conference.

The conference is open to the public. Registration begins at 9-.30 a.m.

Rescue Squad Meeting

The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, June 11 at 8 p.m. at the squad building. All members are urged to attend.

Honorary Fire Chief

The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department announces competition for honorary fire chief, open to girls ages 12-18.

The volunteers are looking for candidates from Chester Gap, Huntly, Lake of Front Royal, Point-ofWoods, Blue Ridge Mountain Estates and the Harmony Hollow area. If interested, call Karen Williams at 636-4673.

Goldvein Carnival Dates Set

The Goldvein Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual carnival on Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16 at the fire hall grounds.

Activities include a parade on Friday evening beginning at 7 p.m. and the crowning of the queen on Saturday evening.

Berry Reunion And Picnic

Family and friends of James A. and Bertha E. Clark Berry are invited to a reunion and picnic to be held at the Rappahannock Park near Washington on Sunday, June 17 beginning at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
