Congressman Dan Daniels, of the Virginia Third Congressional District, accompanied Claude Pepper from Washington, D.C. and also spoke. Members of Governor’s Advisory Council on Aging were also guests on the occasion.
They took advantage of the occasion to elect Dr. Robert L. Schneider, professor of social work at Commonwealth University in Richmond, president, and Mrs. Mary Ellen Cox of Virginia Beach, vice president.
