Newbill Miller, who chaired the meeting. Commissioner Miller led the worksession discussion with a point-bypoint review of concerns raised by citizens who spoke August 15 during a public hearing on the proposed zoning ordinance.
Some text adjustments were made during the session; decisions on whether or not to delete or revise other sections of the document were tabled either for further research or for more public input during “community” meetings due to be scheduled around the county at a later date.
Upon concluding the meeting, the supervisors and planners decided they were not ready to announce the dates for the community meetings. They motioned instead to hold another work session September 19, following the Planning Commissions’ regular monthly meeting.
