Miss Virginia Ruth Ellis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy D. Ellis of Castleton, became the bride of Thomas Steven Hawkins on Saturday, August 4 at 2 o’clock at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Boston.

Mr. Hawkins is the son ef Mrs: Trudy Floyd of Asheville, North Carolina and the late Harold Thomas Hawkins, Jr.

The Rev. William C. Lancaster, Sr. officiated at the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with white gladioluses, yellow mums and candlelabra.

Mrs. Diane Heffren and Miss Betsy Jewel of Castleton provided the wedding music.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white street length dress with chantilly lace. Her headpiece was adorned with matching lace. She carried a bouquet of miniature yellow roses and white daisies interspersed with baby’s breath and greenery.
