Archie Ray Dodson, 54, of Nethers, died on Wednesday, August 29 at his residence.
Mr. Dodson was a native of Rappahannock County and a carpenter by trade.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frances L. Fincham Dodson; seven sons, Donald R. Dodson of Falls Church, James L. Dodson of Hyattsville, Md., Archie R. Dodson of Culpeper, Steve A. Dodson of Lima, Ohio, John W. Dodson, George D. Dodson and Randy D. Dodson, all of Sperryville; six daughters, Mrs. Joan H. Taylor, Miss Mary S. Dodson and Miss Patricia L. Dodson, all of Sperryville, Mrs. Judy A. Weakley of McLean, Miss Peggy L. Dodson of Washington and Miss Carolyn F. Dodson of Vienna and ten grandchildren.
Addi tonal survivors include two brothers, Edward Dodson of Culpeper arid E riser Dodson of Madison and four 'feists; MM7'Florid Monroe of Mid dleburg, Mrs. Lee Sisk of Manassas, Mrs. Charles Guiffre and Mrs. James Hamilton, both of Silver Spring, Md.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by Pastor John K. Burke, Jr. Burial was in Etlan Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Jenkins, Charles Oscar Dodson, Leroy Sisk, Roger Hall, Thomas Brown, Roger Jones, Bobby Lillard and Cliff Sisk.
Lelia J. Hall
Former Teacher
Mrs. Lelia Alma Jones Hall, 89, of Limeton, died Monday, Setpember 8 in Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
Funeral servies were conducted on Thursday at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Paul Phillips. Burial was in the Prospect Hill Cemetery at Front Royal.
Mrs. Hall was born June 24, 1895, in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Robert A. and Mary E. Thornton Jones. She was married to the late Eston Neese Hall and was a former teacher in Warren County schools.
Mrs. Hall was a member of the Limeton United Methodist Church, she served the church as treasurer and Sunday school teacher for many years. She had received a life membership in Women’s Society of Christian Service.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Wesley Hall of Arlington, Cecil Ordway Hall of Willow Street, Pa. and William Amos Hall of Front Royal; four daughters, Eunice Geneva Hall of Lynchburg, Alma Elizabeth Rudacille of Front Royal, Leslie Katherine Harris of Chesapeake and Edna Ernestine Downs of Silver Spring, Md.; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother, Charlie Jones of Front Royal and three sisters, Neville McLeod of Chester, Daisy Lake of Front Royal and Geneva Bailey of RileyviUe.
