Fire & Rescue Association Picnic

The Rappahannock Fire and Rescue Association will hav^ their annual picnic on Saturday, September 8 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Flint Hill carnival grounds. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish. Meat and beverages will be provided by the association. R.S.V.P., Sherry Hamill, 676-3848.

Attention: Class of 1979

Class reunion for Rappahannock graduates with the class of 1979 is scheduled for Saturday, September 22 at the Rappahannock Park in Washington.

Invitations have been mailed, however, if you didn’t receive an invitation or you know of someone who didn’t please call Kim Gilkey Burke at 987-8670 or Shelly Kidwell Dennis at 987-8237 so that one can be mailed as soon as possible.

Settle Family Reunion

The Settle family reunion will be held on Sunday, September 23 beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Park near Washington. All relatives and friends are invited to attend and bring a covered dish and a beverage.

Foxhound Trial And Bench Show

The Northern Virginia Fox Hunter’s Association, Inc. will be holding their 20th annual foxhound field trial and bench show September 6, 6,7, and 8. Everyone is welcome.

Herman Cox of Jonesboro, Term, will serve as Master of Hounds and Bench show Judge. Major Gerald Simmons of the Va. Game Commission will be the Assistant Master. Our area Game Wardens along with the State Police will supervise the trial. Hounds will be judged approximately five hours each morning. The owners will begin collecting them around noon. If you should come in contact with a hound after this time please contact any of the following: Culpeper Sheriffs Office 8251232 (Dog Warden Kelly Corbin will collect it and return it to the owner) Jack Haynes 647-3014 or Misty Hitt 987-8827.
