Mrs. Ulrich Maeyer entertained the Sperryville Bridge Club on Frday evening at her home.
Guests were Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Mrs. Brown Miler, Mrs. Eleanor Cordle, Mrs. Betty Thompson, Mrs. Frances Tabler, Mrs. Ruth Pillar, Mrs. Helen Brown and Mrs. Elisabeth Johnson.
Prizes were won by Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Thompsen.

Susan and Amy Payne, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Payne of Sperryville celebrated their birthdays on Wednesday, August 29. They were given a party at the home of their parents on Friday, August 31.
In addition to their sister, Karen, guests included Mrs. Effie Settle, Beverly Brown and Mr. and Mrs. James Alther and Lori Beth, all from Culpeper.
Others attending were Suzzanne Parker, Rachel and Patty Atkins, all from the Amissville area, Amie Weller and Daphene Atkins, both of Washington.
