age, who is the son of Eric and Anne Trumbo Tual of Rosedale, Va. Others present from out-of-state came from Marysville, Tenn., Columbus, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Pa., Raleigh, N.C., Lothian and College Park, Md. and Washington, D.C.
James Galloway, M.C. and Historian, presented a brief history of the Beahm family and Mick Beahm Watkins related anecdotes of events on Pignut Mountain as told and re-told to her by her father, Hamilton Peyton, the eleventh child and sixth son of George Washington Beahm. The blessing for the lovely weather and the bountiful array of food was given by Frank Beahm of Alexandria, who also led the group in singing several hymns. Frank and his wife, Jo sang a beautiful duet.
Six of the eight living grandchildren of George W. and Nancy Bolen Beahm were in attendance; namely, Mick Beam Watkins, Georgia Mae Vaughn, Mary Ellen Burke, Silas Abrahm Beahm, Jr., Isaac Henry “Ike” Beahm and John William Beahm, Jr. A photograph was taken to preserve this group and cameras were clicking constantly throughout the day so everyone would have a remembrance of this eventAil occasion. Old family pictures were brought out and shared to the delight of both young and old alike.
