uur deepest sympathy goes out to the Shultz family on the passing of Mrs. Shultz’s mother, Mrs. Ethel Wilds, who was a resident of Green Pastures Christian Home. In keeping with the request of the family this writer will add some more information which was not included in her obituary. Mrs. Wilds was a member and ruling elder of the Lincoln Place Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh, Pa. She was the organizer and member of the Womens’ Missionary Society and teacher of the Young Womens’ Bible Class. She served for over twenty years as teacher at the Hope House Mission of Soho in Pittsburgh. This mission served as a missionary endeavor for Hungarian Immigrants. Just about two weeks ago on August 12, Mrs. Wilds lost a son, the Rev. David Wilds, who was an evangelist serving with the Free Methodist Churches of America and has had speaking engagements in our area.

Mrs. Ertha Hawkins was honored on her 90th birthday Saturday and was entertained by her children at Brookside Restaurant near Luray. Those coming especially for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Amos Hawkins of East Stroudsburg, Pa., Mrs. Frances Schober of Jamacia, New York, both of whom spent the weekend here with their mother, also the Rev. and Mrs. Cecil Carder, Jeanette and Jonita of King of Prussia, Pa. and joined here by Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hawkins. Other visitors with birthday wishes on Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. George Hawkins of Sperryville and Mrs. Harold Shaw of Culpeper.
Miss Linda Hawkins of Richmond spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hawkins, whose other Sunday guests were Mrs. Edna Wayland of Washington and Mrs. Randy Sims and Amanda.
Belated happy birthday wishes to Mrs Ertha Hawkins.
Mrs. Julia Johnston recently visited her aunt, Mrs. Chloe Brown in Woodville.
