Mrs. Harry C.| Racey, Sr., of Rapidan was a luncheon guest Tuesday of Mrs. Bessie Corbin. Marvin Burke of Rochele was an afternoon caller and also visited Mr. and Mrs. Shelvy Frazier on Rt. 615.
Miss Lauren Van Wambeck has been elected president of Kappa Gamma sorority at the University of Oklahoma, where she is in her junior year. Lauren is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Van Wambeck and graduated from Culpeper High School in 1983.
Mrs. Jean Smoot and daughter, former residents who have been living in Winchester for some time, have returned and now are living on Rt. 615.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert McDaniel, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Winkler and Mrs. Edmond Burke have all been indisposed with the flu and we wish them all a speedy recovery.
Bill Carpenter, an old native who now resides in Washington, D. C., visited friends here recently and toured his old home place.
