Cary Thornhill
Cary Grayson Thornhill, 94, of Thomridge Farm, Boston, died Sunday, February 2, 1986, at his residence.
He was a member and deacon of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Boston.
Mr. Thornhill was a member of the Culpeper Minute Men in 1917. During World War I he served in the 6th Army Corps in Luxembourg, France and Germany. He was an employee of the U.S. Naval Ordnance Laboratory for a number of years, retiring in 1960.
He was a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge No. 78 at Washington for 64 years, and was also a member of Fairfax Lodge No. 25, AF & AM, and Royal Arch Chapter No. 13 in Culpeper.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dicy Elma Weaver Thornhill, £ daughter, Mrs. Elma B. Morrison o: Winchester, three sons, Robert L Thornhill of Vienna, David Winfrej Thornhill of Ndkesville, and Can Gordon Thornhill of Boston, 1] grandchildren and nine great-grand children.
Funeral services were conducte< Tuesday, February 4, at Geest Johnson Funeral Home by the Rev John Warren and the Rev. John Me Kay. Interment with Masonic rite; at the graveside was at Thomridgi Farm.
Pallbearers were C. G. Thorn hill, Jr., David A. Thornhill, Davit W. Thornhill, Jr., Kevin G. Thorn hill, Robert G. Thornhill, John A Anderson, Richard Whittington ant H. Stephen Miller.
