Depression in the winter will be the subject of the first in a four-part workshop series instituted by the Mental Health Association in Rappahannock. The series of four workshops, to coincide with the seasons of 1986, are designed for the entire community and will be presented in non-technical language.
“We want to provide educational events to enhance the mental health of individuals and families in this community,” explained Steven Scoggin, president of the Mental Health Associciation in Rappahannock. Mental health, he believes, “has an impact on health in general.”
Reverend Scoggin said that preventative mental health will be the primary focus of the workshops which are, he says, “a new direction” for the Mental Health Association.
