Sandra Richardson has been named the new Rappahannock County Extension Agent in home economics and 4-H youth, and assumed the position this month.
Mrs. Richardson comes to Rappahannock from Virginia Beach where she has lived since 1959. There she spent many years teaching in both public and private schools. She has taught children from nursery age to sixth grade and has substituted in high schools.
She has also been involved with the 4-H and has worked with their camping programs and their Leaders Association — a group of volunteers. She was recently a telemarketing specialist with the Christian Broadcasting Network in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Richardson attended Ohio State and James Madison Universities and earned her degree in home economics from Norfolk State University.
