RAAC hosts community Christmas The annual community Christmas program at the Gay Street Theater will held be Saturday, Dec. 19, starting at 7 p.m. This popular event will include an appearance by Santa and his reindeer, holiday readings by county orators, and Christmas music, including individual performances and group carol singing. Admission is free, and so are refreshments. For more information, call the RAAC office at 675-3198.
Quaker meeting There is an hour of silent worship on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Middle Street Gallery.
Lions selling nuts The members of the Rappahannock Lions Club are selling Deluxe Mix Nuts (no peanuts) for $6 lb., fancy pecan halves (fresh crop) at $5 lb., and honey-roasted peanuts in 12 oz. tins for $3. ARB to meet The Architectural Review Board will meet Thursday, Dec. 17, at 8 p.m. in the courthouse. Interested persons are urged to attend.
County Methodist Services The United Methodist Churches will have worship services for Sunday, Dec. 20, as follows: Flint Hill at 9 a.m., Sperryville at 11:15 a.m. and Willis Chapel at 10 a.m. The Rev. Merlin Shorb, pastor, invites the public to attend.
Christmas fruitcakes on sale The Amissville Ruritans are selling Christmas fruitcakes. This is one of two annual fundraising events sponsored by the Ruritans.
