Amissville Methodist
Members of the Amissville Methodist Church will host a community Christmas caroling program on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 3 p.m.
A Christmas play will be presented at the church on Sunday, Dec. 20, beginning at 7 p.m.
An open communion service will be held at the church on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. All are welcome.
Living nativity
The Rappahannock County United Methodist Churches will present a living nativity scene, re-enacting the Birth of the Christ Child, on Saturday, Dec. 19, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the red shed on Route 211 a half mile east of the town of Washington. Live animals are used for the the hillside display, which can be viewed from the road. Visitors may also walk up the pathway bordered by luminaries to the shed where they can hear as well as see the Christmas story.
