Date Nut Balls 1/2 c. butter or margarine 3/4 c. sugar 8 oz. pkg. chopped dates 2Vi c. crisp rice cereal 1 c. pecans, chopped Flaked coconut or powdered sugar Combine butter, sugar and dates in medium saucepan. Bring to boil; cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in cereal and petans; cool to touch. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll each in coconut. Yield about 4 dozen.
