Cooperation is the key

For the second time in a month, an alert, concerned j citizen noticed something which didn’t seem right and decided j to get involved. With a telephone call to the Sheriffs j Department, he reported a suspicious vehicle on Rt. 637 ■ outside Flint Hill. j Sheriffs deputies responded and investigated the ; complaint, resulting in the arrest of two individuals who had ; created a two-man crime wave in the area during the ] preceding weeks.

Last month, it was another county resident who heard noises outside his house and took the time to go out and see : what was going on. He saw two men standing in the road ; beating on his mailbox. When the two realized they had been : seen and took off, the man gave chase and got the car’s license ' number.

Again, the license number was the clue needed by the Sheriffs Department to solve the vandalism of 15 mailboxes if in the area.
