1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream • 1/2 gallon cider Ground cinnamon Put frozen ice cream in punch bowl with long side face up. Cover top side of the ice cream with cinnamon until you cannot see the ice cream. Using a wooden spoon, thoroughly blend cinnamon into ice cream. (This keeps the cinnamjon from rising to the top.) Gradually add cider, stirring well after es|ch addition. (If not mixed well gradually ice cream will separate.) Serve immediately. — Cindi Dashiell Glory Days A rum-less daiquiri. 1 (6 oz.) can frozen daiquiri mixer concentrate, thawed 1 large ripe papaya, pared, seeded and cut into 1-inch chunks 1 tray (12) ice cubes 1 cup cold water 1 (1 liter/33.8-oz.) bottle lemonlime soda, chilled In blender or food processor, combine daiquiri mixer, papaya, ice cubes and water until fruit is pureed. Pour into a 3-quart pitcher or 8 10-ounce glasses. Stir in chilled soda. Note: Mixture may be served over crushed ice. Meddles Medley A free-spirited rum and Coke. 1 tray (12) ice cubes made with sweetened lemonade 1/4 cup sweetened lime juice concentrate
1 (1 liter/33.4 oz.) bottle cola soda, classic or clear, chilled Lime peel twists Place 3 ice cubes in each of four 12-ounce tall glasses. Pour 1 tablespoon lime juice concentrate in each glass; fill with cola. Stir. Garnish with lime peel. Whatever type of celebration that you and your family may choose, have a safe and happy one.
